Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal announced that he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture during the match against Villarreal, in the match that took place at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium yesterday, as part of the 2024-2025 Spanish League.
- Carvajal posted a photo on his official Instagram account and commented: “My serious cruciate ligament injury has been confirmed. I will have to undergo surgery and be out of action for a few months.”

- A few seconds before the end of the match, Carvajal suffered a severe injury to his right knee after a joint intervention with Villarreal player Yeremy Pino, in the 92nd minute of the match that ended with Real Madrid winning 2-0, and he was injured in his knee, which made him scream loudly in pain.
- After Carvajal was injured, he fell to the ground and continued to suffer severely with more screaming and crying, before Real Madrid’s medical staff rushed to the field to treat Carvajal, who left on a stretcher.
- With this injury, Dani Carvajal’s season with Real Madrid has ended, as the injury to the cruciate ligament requires a recovery period of approximately 7 or 8 months.
